Senior Software Engineer (Low Latency - Java)

The Senior Software Engineer is primarily responsible for developing, scaling, enhancing, and maintaining our trading platform and relevant components. Working closely with other engineering, vendor, product, and operations teams, they will leverage their software engineering expertise to maintain our commitment to excellence in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining scalable software and systems.
• Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to other engineers.
• Understanding and using ADSS’s technical architectures, tools, and techniques to build powerful, efficient, flexible, and scalable solutions.
• Participating in the design and review of new features and system architecture.
• Implementing best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in capital markets, brokerage, and the wider ecosystem.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing low latency Java systems.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of network programming in Java and JVM performance tuning.
• Proven experience of building Trading systems/components using FIX protocol, Aeron, Chronicle, and other low latency toolkits.
• In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure and protocols.
