Senior Software Engineer

About the Job:
The Senior Software Engineer will work in the area of Software Engineering, focusing on the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions and applications. Key responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing and solving software engineering problems using scientific methods.
2. Developing and applying software engineering practices and knowledge in research, design, development, and maintenance.
3. Exercising original thought and judgment while supervising the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.
4. Building skills and expertise in the software engineering discipline to meet the standard expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.
5. Collaborating and acting as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be fully competent in their area with a deep understanding of related programming concepts, software design, and development principles. They will be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, serve as a key contributor in a complex environment, and lead a team in software design and development activities.

The candidate must proactively understand client needs, provide unsolicited advice, assess and adapt to project issues, formulate innovative solutions, and drive the team to succeed against technical and commercial goals. Awareness of profitability needs and the ability to manage costs for specific projects or work areas are also important.

Strong communication skills are essential for explaining difficult concepts to diverse audiences and motivating team members. Ideal candidates will also create informal networks with key contacts outside their immediate area.
