In this role, you will have ownership over services and systems from start to finish. You will design effective architectures and ensure the platform remains efficient, stable, and adaptable. Your collaboration with product, design, and cross-regional engineering teams will be vital to enhancing platform capabilities, reliability, and the developer experience. Additionally, you will mentor your teammates and help elevate the technical standards of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services focusing on maintainability, scalability, and observability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve user experience.
- Enhance reliability through performance analysis, tuning, and code quality initiatives.
- Mentor teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Develop mid-to-long-term technical roadmaps with clear strategies for evolution.
- Address complex problems using proven methodologies and assist the team in addressing challenges effectively.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
- 4+ years of backend development experience or equivalent experience, managing systems of medium complexity.
- Proficiency in Golang, Java, or Python (one or more) with strong backend architecture experience.
- Familiarity with messaging middleware, relational databases, and common backend patterns (such as idempotency, retries, rate limiting, and async jobs).
- Experience in performance analysis and tuning, with understanding of reliability engineering and observability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building platformized products or shared services across multiple domains.
- Experience in developing stable and extensible distributed services.
- Proven technical leadership, able to drive alignment and results in complex environments.
- Practical application of AI in procurement or supply chain (e.g., recommendation, forecasting, optimization, automation).
