As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take ownership of services and systems end-to-end. You will propose robust architectures and ensure that the platform remains efficient, stable, and evolves with the company's needs. Collaboration with product, design, and cross-regional engineering teams is essential to enhance platform capabilities, reliability, and developer experience. You will also play a crucial role in mentoring teammates and raising the overall technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and evolve backend services with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and observability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities and enhance user experience.
- Enhance system reliability through performance analysis, tuning, and code quality improvement.
- Provide mentorship through code reviews, architectural guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead technical roadmaps with clear strategies for evolution.
- Address complex problems effectively using proven solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in backend development or equivalent depth, managing systems of medium complexity and above.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang, Java, or Python) with solid backend architecture experience.
- Familiarity with messaging middleware, relational databases, and common backend patterns (idempotency, retries, rate limiting, async jobs).
- Strong skills in performance analysis and tuning, with an understanding of reliability engineering and observability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building platformized products or shared services across multiple domains.
- Experience in developing stable and extensible distributed services.
- Demonstrated technical leadership that drives alignment and results in complex environments.
- Practical experience applying AI in procurement or supply chain applications (recommendation, forecasting, optimization, automation).
