Senior Software Engineer - Radar

About the Job:

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Radar systems, you will lead the design and development of embedded software and radar system components to meet critical defense system requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Writing high-performance, reliable C/C++ code for real-time, resource-constrained environments, focusing on effective hardware integration and memory management.
• Implementing and optimizing communication protocols such as UDP/TCP, SNMP, and MODBUS while ensuring system-level coherence with multidisciplinary teams including RF, hardware, systems, and test engineers.
• Conducting testing, validation, troubleshooting, and supporting lab and field integration campaigns.
• Contributing to design reviews, maintaining thorough documentation, navigating military certification processes, and mentoring junior engineers, all while ensuring compliance with defense-grade software and engineering standards (e.g., NATO AQAP, MIL-STD).

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally within embedded or defense systems.
• Strong embedded programming skills in C/C++ along with a solid understanding of Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with real-time programming and communication protocols (TCP/IP, MODBUS, SNMP).
• Demonstrated contribution to complex defense projects, showcasing ownership over critical technical components.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including systems, hardware, RF, and test engineers.
• A strong grasp of military-grade documentation, qualification, and certification processes.
