Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will work in the realm of Software Engineering, focusing on the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions and applications. The responsibilities include:

1. Applying scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems.
2. Overseeing the development and application of software engineering practices and knowledge in research, design, development, and maintenance.
3. Exercising original thought and judgment alongside supervising the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.
4. Building skills and expertise in software engineering to meet the standard expectations for the role as defined in Professional Communities.
5. Collaborating as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

Grade Specific Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be fully competent in their area, possessing a deep understanding of programming concepts, software design, and software development principles.
• They will work autonomously with minimal supervision, acting as a key contributor in complex environments and leading team activities in software design and development.
• Proactively understanding internal or external client needs and offering advice even when not solicited.
• Assessing and adapting to project issues, formulating innovative solutions, working under pressure, and driving the team to achieve its technical and commercial goals.
• Being aware of profitability needs and potentially managing costs for specific projects or work areas.
• Explaining difficult concepts to diverse audiences and motivating team members while creating informal networks with key contacts outside their area.
