Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing embedded software for safety-critical applications.
  • Managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Architecting and implementing complex embedded systems with an emphasis on performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Collaborating on large codebases, including maintaining and refactoring legacy code and open-source software.
  • Utilizing simulation environments for thorough testing and validation before hardware deployment.
  • Conducting system-level debugging and hardware/software integration.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C).

Qualifications for the role involve:

  • At least 8 years of experience in embedded software engineering.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures and low-level hardware interfacing.
  • A strong grasp of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and real-time software design principles.
  • Experience with various communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns.
  • Experience with safety-critical software development and relevant standards.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and various debugging tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based development environments.
