Senior Software Engineer - UAEN

Emirates NBD is a leading financial services brand in the UAE, with a presence across 13 countries and serving over 20 million customers. As part of our commitment to empower and develop the next generation of talent in the UAE, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is a self-motivated team player. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks while demonstrating outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
• Develop and support software, including applications, database integrations, interfaces, and functional enhancements.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards.
• Support testing and deployment of new products and features.
• Participate in code reviews.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of containerization and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with API gateway integrations such as 3Scale.
• Knowledge of Single-Sign-On or token-based authentication methods (Rest, JWT, OAuth).
• Expertise in task/message queues, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka.
• Adherence to best coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards and practices.
• Experience in the banking, financial, or fintech sectors is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Capability to ensure quality in technical and application architecture across the organization.
• Research and benchmark technologies against best-in-class examples.
• Ability to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, enhancing their productivity.
• Excellent soft and interpersonal skills to effectively present ideas to senior management.
