Senior Software Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager at the company, you will lead multiple engineering teams (typically 4 squads, ~20 engineers) across a single technical domain. Your primary responsibilities include defining a 12–18 month technical vision by collaborating with product leadership, fostering a thriving environment for engineers through effective hiring and mentoring, ensuring delivery excellence through small-batch delivery and continuous feedback, converting product objectives into impactful technical solutions, driving alignment with cross-functional partners, and guiding technical decision-making while maintaining the company’s standards for scalability, security, and performance.

Expect to onboard effectively within the first 90 days, achieve consistent value delivery with your teams in 6 months, and implement a clear technical vision over your first year, contributing to the broader strategic initiatives of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of hands-on technical leadership experience, with a background in managing engineering teams and developing talent. You should possess 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong grasp of production systems, distributed architecture, and preferably some exposure to eXtreme Programming culture and practices. Emotional intelligence is critical, as is the ability to navigate conflict and foster a psychologically safe environment.
