As the most senior member of the App team, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the app scrum teams in Dubai, fostering a supportive and productive environment for success.
- Overseeing the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) of key staff within these teams.
- Ensuring consistency in approach across the various app scrum teams and providing robust support for all teams.
- Crafting a strategic growth plan and a clear vision for the teams to ensure success across the organization.
- Collaborating with Senior Engineering Manager peers to prioritize team interests and deliver broader App objectives.
About You:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software/App development with at least 4 years in people management.
- A strong mobile engineering background as an iOS or Android specialist, with skills to guide developers across both platforms.
- If iOS-focused: Proficiency in Swift, MVVM, RxSwift, SwiftUI, Combine.
- If Android-focused: Expertise in Kotlin, with hands-on experience in Volley, RxJava, and Dagger.
- Proven experience in leading teams that build and ship large-scale mobile applications for millions of users.
- Comfort in managing and collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones, maintaining communication and delivery quality.
- Strong leadership skills including talent development and ensuring engineering best practices.
