About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing sophisticated digital infrastructure solutions, both in the cloud and on-premises. Your primary focus will be to stay abreast of the rapidly evolving technology landscape and ensure the implementation of new solutions in a robust, scalable, and secure manner across various environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, technical experts, security personnel, and business stakeholders, to align infrastructure solutions with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive IT infrastructure architecture for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Create detailed architectural blueprints and roadmaps for infrastructure solutions that align with business needs and technology standards.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure compute, storage, and network solutions.
- Design hybrid cloud solutions, effectively integrating on-premises and cloud resources.
- Evaluate and select cloud services and technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Ensure efficient and secure data migration between environments.
- Architect and optimize corporate and manufacturing network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Implement resource utilization and capacity planning strategies.
- Oversee the deployment and management of infrastructure-as-code and automation tools while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Implement security measures to protect data and infrastructure assets.
- Provide technical leadership to infrastructure teams and collaborate on infrastructure initiatives and innovation.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously evaluate existing infrastructure solutions for improvement.
Authority/Decision Making:
- Serve as the primary technical authority for IT infrastructure solutions, making critical decisions regarding architecture, design, and implementation.
- Validate architectural blueprints and infrastructure designs.
- Make decisions regarding the selection and integration of technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Over 10 years in IT infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation; formal project management qualifications such as PMP or Agile methodologies are beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience with cloud platforms and proficiency in network architecture and design.
- Agile/Digital Experience: Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in leading agile teams.
- Individual Skills: Leadership, collaboration, effective communication, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Mindset/Behaviours: Passion for innovation and change, belief in a collaborative culture, and an experimental mindset to drive progress.
