Senior Solution Architect - Physical Security Systems

At Thales, we are actively supporting our customers in the development and provision of a ‘smart city’ state-of-the-art security solution. The projects associated with the implementation of security and safety systems are highly innovative, international, and multi-industry in nature, requiring in-depth technical knowledge of the solutions and components, as well as a real mastery of the systems aspect needed to successfully complete the projects.

We are recruiting for a Senior Solution Architect, a critical role focused on the entire security solution. This position involves understanding customer requirements, developing solutions that align with these needs, and managing the whole solution, including supplier management and ensuring customer satisfaction.

We seek a highly experienced individual who has delivered security solutions on high-value projects, managing all aspects of the Physical Security solution from customer requirements to architecture, suppliers, and ensuring the delivery and integration of the entire security solution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support customers in their technical choices and promote Thales solutions.
• Describe and structure the architectures of future security systems in coordination with project and engineering teams.
• Act as Design Authority and coordinate internal and external partners to achieve a coherent vision and architecture.
• Participate in the costing of technical solutions and ensure competitiveness.
• Oversee the choice of technical solutions in an innovative context that extends into the next fifteen to thirty years.
• Communicate solutions in support of PRS strategy, sales management, and domain management.
• Participate and guide technical policy.

Work Experience Requirements:

• 15 years of experience in various Systems Engineering life cycle activities.
• 5 years of experience in different Technical Management positions.
• Demonstrable experience creating the architecture of a whole solution based on customer requirements within Physical Security Systems.

Preferred Skills:

• A structured approach to systems architectures and associated modeling tools.
• Wide-ranging technical skills in information systems, sensors, end-effectors, and network, radio, and operator-managed services infrastructure.
• Understanding of digital technologies deployed in the cloud.
• Ability to analyze operational needs and extract technical requirements.
• Ability to manage technical contributors and various GBUs, assembly, and integration partners.
• An innovative vision with a pragmatic and iterative approach to system delivery.
• Strong capacity for conviction to support Thales' strategic statements in this field.

Work Conditions:

• Hybrid work environment (partly remote).

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English; additional languages may be a plus.
