About the Job:
We are looking for our next team member to help AMD drive a new era of computing into the datacenter by engaging with key end users and platform and software partners to demonstrate AMD technology differentiators, addressing their business needs in real-world usage scenarios. You will provide technical support to strategic commercial end user accounts within defined regions or vertical markets. This role includes accountability to the commercial sales team and the field engineering director for all aspects of technical engagements required to support sales and account objectives. Occasional training to teammates and assistance with their unique challenges may also be required.

This position emphasizes platform and end-user workload optimization. The successful candidate will cultivate a deep technical understanding of server processor and accelerator SOC architectures, related software stacks, and application performance at the node, rack, and datacenter levels to guide the customer.
You will support various sectors including Cloud Service Providers, High Performance Computing, Financial Services Industry, Large Enterprise, Media and Entertainment, and Telco Service Providers.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Articulating AMD-based technology offerings across multiple market verticals.
- Providing hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to end-users.
- Partnering with AMD and vendor subject matter specialists to build specific customer solutions.
- Analyzing vendor product solutions and evaluating product performance based on customer needs.
- Acting as a technical advisor to sales in designing and integrating customer applications using AMD-based datacenter and client solutions.
- Installing and testing solutions in-house to ensure successful deployments and evaluations.
- Leading technical design sessions and detailing technical solutions aligned with end-user objectives.
- Designing and executing evaluations to ensure quality solution delivery.
- Understanding the competitive landscape and articulating AMD's technical differentiation.
The Person:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills).
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.
- A balance of hardware, system architecture, and software expertise.
- Ability to prioritize, working independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven success in building strong internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven experience as a senior-level engineer (or equivalent technical role) combined with successful experience in a customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of market verticals including cloud computing, HPC, software-defined storage, and data analytics.
- Solid understanding of the server and accelerator software ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and configuring server systems including software, networking, and storage infrastructure.
- Experience in application/workload profiling and performance assessment is a plus.
Academic Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred).
