The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales and technical role focused on customers and partners, part of the XC Specialist sales organization. The primary responsibility of the SE is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide knowledge around Distributed Cloud. A successful Specialist SE will have excellent technical skills and knowledge of the company's products and the ecosystem in which we operate. We provide training and certification to help develop these critical skills.

The objective of this role is to achieve allocated sales targets by selling relevant Distributed Cloud solutions to address customer business needs in partnership with the Specialist Sales Account Manager. The SE is a trusted adviser to customers, understanding their technical and business challenges, and proposing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the company's product strategy, messaging, and positioning for Distributed Cloud’s value proposition.
  • Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
  • Assess opportunity viability and organizational structure.
  • Drive the sales process by identifying Technical Decision Makers and securing their technical validation and support.
  • Ensure world-class customer service throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and sales resources, sharing best practices and seeking expertise when needed.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related industry experience.
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in solution designs for large-scale environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of vertical market solutions.
  • Expert communication, presentation, and account management skills.
  • Prior mentorship experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in leading initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the company's or similar industry solution deployment is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
