The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio for the Sub Saharan Africa region. As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare, collaborating closely with sales, product, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure customer success and create scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize business value through effective solution design and adoption roadmaps.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers across Cloudflare's broad range of products and solutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Internet performance and security technologies, as well as ongoing product innovation.
- Manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands while demonstrating empathy toward customer challenges.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 3 to 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); fluent Afrikaans is a plus.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and effectively.
- Understanding of Internet fundamentals, including TCP/UDP and DNS.
- Knowledge of security trends, including Zero Trust, DDoS, CDN, and performance.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-15 days per quarter.
