Position

FADA is seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive to shape the future of space missions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to transform operational needs into cutting-edge space capabilities, through the full mission lifecycle. You will conduct and lead systems engineering efforts using industry standards such as ISO 15288:2023, INCOSE, ECSS, and NASA frameworks, ensuring robust architecture, requirements management, and mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders, particularly in communicating complex technical engineering concepts.
  • Conduct Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) supported complex systems engineering.
  • Define system architecture, including functional, logical, and physical architecture transformations.
  • Establish and configure MBSE tools and manage configuration.
  • Manage requirements and transform them into the system domain.
  • Transform customer needs into system requirements and architectures.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of space system development.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture, interface control documents (ICDs), and system specifications.
  • Perform trade studies, risk assessments, and performance analyses to support design decisions.
  • Support integration and testing of hardware and software components in lab and field environments.
  • Collaborate with platform, subsystem, and ground segment engineers to ensure cohesive system design.
  • Contribute to mission planning, simulation, and operations support.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in space systems engineering or a related aerospace role.
  • Preferred to hold an equivalent INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional certification.
  • Engineering chartership in your home country.
