We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a strong background in dashboard development and data analysis. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience with BI tools such as Spotfire and Power BI, a deep understanding of data modelling, and the integration of cloud-based data sources. This role requires expertise in working with APIs, relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), and the ability to deliver actionable insights through sophisticated data visualization. Experience in the Oil & Gas domain will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities

Spotfire & Power BI Dashboard Development
- Design and develop interactive Spotfire dashboards, utilizing advanced features and customizations.
- Create advanced visualizations (heatmaps, scatter plots, geospatial maps) using Spotfire's capabilities.
- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards using Power Query for data transformation and DAX for calculations.
- Optimize Spotfire and Power BI dashboards for large datasets.

Data Analysis and Modelling
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights aligned with business needs.
- Develop composite data models for reporting and analytical requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality and integrity.

Database and Cloud Integration
- Develop SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for efficient data extraction and transformation.
- Integrate data from various cloud sources (Azure, AWS) to ensure smooth data flow.

REST API Integration
- Connect and manage data from external systems using REST APIs.
- Ensure data consistency and automation in BI tools and databases.

Data Handling & Performance Optimization
- Manage large datasets efficiently to ensure optimized performance of dashboards.
- Implement best practices for data aggregation and caching in BI tools.

Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Provide training and support for end-users on dashboard usage.
Qualifications

Experience & Expertise:
- 5+ years as a BI Developer with a focus on dashboard design using Spotfire and Power BI.
- Strong experience in data wrangling, transformation, and visualization.
- Experience with large datasets and data integrity, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.

Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Spotfire and Power BI features, including SQL proficiency for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience with REST APIs and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

Preferred Qualifications
