The main objective of this role is to conduct audits across all operational areas, including ground operations, maintenance, training, as well as security and safety, to verify compliance with regulations established by the GCAA, IATA ISARPS, and any documented requirements defined by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review changes made to manuals and procedures in maintenance, engineering, and maintenance training to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
  • Update and improve the Compliance Monitoring Manual, compliance monitoring procedures, and audit checklists continuously.
  • Present findings and concerns to internal area owners or representatives of suppliers and service providers.
  • Escalate all non-conformities in maintenance & engineering and maintenance training, ensuring timely corrective and preventative actions are taken.
  • Verify the adequacy of corrective and preventative actions and review root causes to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in investigations related to maintenance & engineering compliance.
  • Conduct quality boards for personnel authorization, ensuring qualifications and experience meet required standards.
  • Manage personnel company authorizations through thorough due diligence and investigation processes.
  • Review and approve maintenance & engineering service provider submissions, including parts suppliers, MRO, and line maintenance service providers.
  • Evaluate maintenance requests/variations, including Repair Interval Extensions and maintenance check extensions.
  • Review and endorse personnel licence applications to the GCAA, ensuring all qualifications and experience requirements are met before submission.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities to resolve compliance matters and ensure alignment with applicable regulations.
  • Author Compliance Monitoring Notices to inform about changes to regulations, procedures, and other compliance-related matters.
  • Identify improvements and develop processes within the Compliance Monitoring department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree related to any engineering discipline (3+ years).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an airline or MRO quality assurance or compliance monitoring environment, or a minimum of 8 years as certifying personnel in an airline or MRO.
  • Specialized training/experience in QPulse, Intelex, and AMOS.
  • IRCA certified Lead Auditor Training for quality management systems or equivalent.
  • GCAA CAR 66 License with type rating or an equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage).

ISR Requirements:

  • Read and comply with the ISR policies of the company, reporting any weaknesses or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
  • Complete all required ISR awareness sessions and adhere to associated guidelines in day-to-day operations.
