Work Conditions
This position is offered on a 12-month contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Search for solutions; locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Collaborate and work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Work with I/T and data owners to understand the types of data collected in various databases and data warehouses.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
Requirements
- Minimum 7-8 years proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented, customer-centric mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.
- Technical expertise in big data modeling, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Proven experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of statistical methods and data visualization.
- Experience with SQL, Spark/Hive SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis tools is required.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar; ELK is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
- Proficiency in any cloud technology is recommended.
- Open and flexible to travel to customer locations as needed.
