Senior Specialist Data Governance

As a Senior Specialist in Data Governance, you will be responsible for implementing an effective Data Governance Framework. This includes data discovery, onboarding, curation, and reporting to ensure data completeness, consistency, compliance, and to enhance security while supporting business needs for optimized data access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities.
• Conduct data governance assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement a data strategy to support data-driven decision-making and enhance data literacy through controlled change management initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance to maintain effective practices.
• Ensure data is governed and managed, well documented, and sourced from reliable channels for analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations both in the GCC and internationally (e.g., PDPL, GDPR, CCPA).
• Collaborate with Data Management Specialists and cross-functional teams to promote data governance initiatives.
• Conduct training and awareness programs to promote a data-driven culture and enhance understanding of governance principles among employees.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives, and recommend improvements as needed.
• Create a data quality program to manage reference and master data while maintaining a comprehensive catalog of data assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Total Experience: 5-8 years in relevant fields.
