Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Project Intelligence: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for project intelligence, covering market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and identifying industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Data Analytics: Lead data collection, analysis, and interpretation of project-related information, financial metrics, and performance indicators to provide actionable insights.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for capital projects, utilizing historical data and market conditions to anticipate challenges and establish mitigation strategies.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, benchmarking the company's projects against industry best practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and finance professionals, ensuring that project intelligence aligns with organizational goals.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain a robust reporting framework, including dashboards and reports, to effectively communicate project intelligence findings to stakeholders.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the oil and gas industry to inform project strategies.
- Resource Optimization: Provide recommendations for resource allocation based on project intelligence, enhancing overall project efficiency.
- Knowledge Management: Establish a knowledge-sharing platform to disseminate project intelligence and best practices within the company and its Group Companies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies based on insights derived from project intelligence.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the budget allocated for project intelligence activities, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
- Talent Development: Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the project intelligence team, facilitating skill development and knowledge transfer.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient in their roles and deliver on the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for the preparation of the Function/Division/Department/Section budgets, assist in implementing the approved budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of work programs in line with company and international standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achieving the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices for greater efficiency in line with industry standards, to define intelligent solutions for challenges facing the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in accordance with international standards, best practices, and the company's Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section Management Information Systems (MIS) and progress reports for Company Management.
Communications & Working Relationships
Internal
- Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents within the Group Project Governance & Excellence.
- Vice Presidents in Business Line Directorates.
- Vice Presidents of Projects in all businesses.
- Any other Directorate/Unit as required.
- Company Group Companies.
External
- Shareholders, counterparts, and members of the company Group, as required.
- Local and international vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Science, or relevant disciplines with supporting experience.
- MBA required.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 20 years relevant experience in National Oil Companies (NOC's)/International Oil Companies (IOC's) or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies, including at least 2 years addressing technical discipline challenges as Expert/Principal/Discipline Technical Authority.
- Major Project Management/Engineering Experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Project Management and Engineering systems.
