Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement support functions, ensuring high quality in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and best value.
- Develop, promote, and embed procurement and supply chain management tools and techniques across the group.
- Apply a proactive, creative, and challenging approach to manage organizational expenditure on goods and services.
- Ensure transparency of spending within the allocated supply portfolio.
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments.
- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement, suggesting methods to decrease expenditure.
- Negotiate contracts and improve prices and terms of business with suppliers.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
- Comply with the Group Procurement Policy and report to the Procurement Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT engineering, computer science, or a relevant field
- CIPS Accreditation
Minimum Experience:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in the procurement or supply field in the IT industry
Job-Specific Skills:
- Full awareness of procurement best practices and approaches
- Strategic thinking to drive cost-optimization initiatives
- Knowledge of the latest IT technologies in the market
- Familiarity with the local and regional IT market and IT service providers
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage difficult situations
