The Senior Specialist - Project Management in Presight plays a key role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within an organization, specifically focusing on Francophone Africa. As a Senior Specialist, you will assist the project manager in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring effective communication among team members. Your role is crucial in maintaining project documentation, organizing meetings, and facilitating collaboration to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones in coordination with project managers.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Monitor and report project progress, deliverables, and milestone achievements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize project meetings (scheduling, agenda creation, logistics).
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure timely distribution and accessibility of project-related updates and documents.
  • Support resource allocation and team scheduling.
  • Track team availability, utilization, and highlight any resource conflicts.
  • Identify, document, and follow up on project risks, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Support adherence to internal project management standards and best practices.
  • Help manage stakeholder relationships and communication plans.
  • Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program/project coordination or support roles.
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) – this is a mandatory requirement.
  • Willingness to travel and work in Francophone African countries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum) is a plus.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in international or multicultural project teams.
  • Previous exposure to projects in Africa or emerging markets.
  • PMP Certification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with regional travel logistics, procurement practices, or public sector engagement.
