Key Accountabilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Oversee the group’s overall Project Planning program, monitor alignment with targets, and identify deviations and risks for reporting.
- Act as custodian of project planning policies, procedures, methodologies, and tools to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Provide technical expertise in project planning & scheduling as needed.
- Ensure reports/dashboards are accurate, complete, transparent, and consistently communicated to stakeholders.
- Highlight key issues requiring management attention to the Group Company management/shareholders.
- Participate in assurance audits and independent project reviews (IPRs) to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Plan and execute initiatives to enhance capital delivery programs and maximize value.
- Support the development of a project planning competency and career development program.
- Aid in developing the technical disciplines coordination and technical authority framework to align activities across the group.
Project Control
- Support Project Managers by applying company methodologies, processes, and templates to control individual project planning.
- Maintain planning for strategic projects and oversee progress and performance, identifying potential issues and mitigation actions.
- Manage risk by updating the risk register at the project level regularly.
- Drive timely management of change processes related to project assets.
- Prepare and submit periodic project reports, providing key performance indicators to Group Company management.
- Educate Project Management Teams (PMT) on project control methodologies and processes.

- Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities in the assigned area to meet departmental objectives.
- Train and develop assigned staff to enhance proficiency and meet section objectives.

- Participate in preparing budgets and assist in implementing approved budgets and work plans.
- Investigate and report significant variances for effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved policies, processes, systems, and procedures to support work program execution.
Performance Management
- Contribute to achieving approved performance objectives in line with the company's performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement tools to improve operational processes.
- Identify internal process improvements against industry best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Track all changes to project scope and ensure that cost and schedule impacts are communicated effectively.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with HSE policies, procedures, and legislation in accordance with international standards and company Code of Practices.
Reports
- Contribute to the preparation of management information and progress reports for Company Management.
Communications & Working Relationships
Internal
- Engage with Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents within the function, VP Projects in all businesses, and company Group Companies as required.
External
- Interact with shareholders, counterparts, members of the company Group, local and international vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or relevant discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in National Oil Companies (NOCs), International Oil Companies (IOCs), or EPC(M) firms, with a minimum of 4 years addressing technical discipline challenges as an Expert, Principal, or Discipline Technical Authority.
- Significant project management and engineering experience is essential.
- Proficient in defining and implementing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) frameworks.
