Role Purpose:
The Security Operations Specialist is a key member of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Threat Intelligence function. This role is responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats targeting the company systems. The position combines advanced threat intelligence, intrusion analysis, malware reverse engineering, and proactive security operations to bolster the organization's cyber defense capabilities.
Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring & Incident Response:
- Monitor SIEM, EDR, NDR, and other security tools for suspicious activities.
- Perform investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery of security incidents.
- Develop and manage SIEM use cases to enhance threat detection.
- Coordinate with internal teams during security incidents.

Intrusion & Threat Analysis:
- Analyze network telemetry and threat feeds to identify intrusion attempts.
- Correlate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) with known threat actor campaigns.
- Conduct malware analysis and develop detection logic.

Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering:
- Perform static and dynamic analysis of malware using industry-standard tools.
- Develop detection signatures and maintain a malware repository.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, or Incident Response.
- Strong understanding of threat actor methodologies and cybercrime ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and malware analysis tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISA preferred.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
