Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and implementation of storage systems and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell, IBM, and HPE.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of virtualization environments.
- Manage and maintain an organization's data storage systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot storage hardware and software.
- Ensure all backup solutions have logging, alerting, and notifications configured, and monitor completion/failure of all backup schedules.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Manage and operate backup solutions, including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
- Support and maintain data center infrastructure, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
- Ensure backup solution Disaster Readiness, availability, and functionality in disaster recovery situations.
- Define backup policies, recovery objectives, backup schedules, and recovery time intended for each application.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically 5+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and data analysis problem-solving.
- A continuous learner that stays abreast of industry knowledge and technology.
Other Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, and Data Domain (including CRS).
- Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are a strong advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
