Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining data storage systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security through configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of storage hardware and software.
- Ensuring that all backup solutions have logging, alerting, and notifications configured, and monitoring the completion or failure of backup schedules.
- Collaborating with IT teams (network, database, application) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Operating and managing backup solutions including job creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Supporting data center infrastructure maintenance and creating technical documentation.
- Ensuring backup solution disaster readiness and operational functionality in disaster recovery situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
- Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis and proficiencies in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Continuous learner staying abreast with industry knowledge and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Dell PowerMax, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, Data Domain (including CRS).
- Relevant storage and backup certifications are advantageous, along with certifications such as Cisco CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Security+.
