The Senior System Administrator will manage, maintain, and secure the IT infrastructure and systems to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of technology that supports office mandates, coordinating citizen and community services, processing government initiatives, and enabling communication with federal and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, operating systems, and data storage systems.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and Active Directory in line with government data governance and security policies.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Administer email, collaboration platforms, and internal applications used for case management and coordination with federal/local entities.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for critical systems and citizen data.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.
  • Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and government IT bodies on infrastructure, licensing, and integration projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a government or public sector entity.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server/Linux administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls), and Active Directory.
  • Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/G42 Cloud), and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with UAE government IT compliance frameworks is a strong advantage.
  • Preferred certifications include MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server+/Security+, CCNA, or ITIL.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to security, confidentiality, and data sensitivity.
  • Ability to work under government protocols and coordinate across federal/local authorities.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of Arabic can be advantageous.
