Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, operating systems, and data storage systems.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and Active Directory in line with government data governance and security policies.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Administer email, collaboration platforms, and internal applications used for case management and coordination with federal/local entities.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for critical systems and citizen data.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with external vendors and government IT bodies on infrastructure, licensing, and integration projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a government or public sector entity.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server/Linux administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls), and Active Directory.
- Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/G42 Cloud), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with UAE government IT compliance frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Preferred certifications include MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server+/Security+, CCNA, or ITIL.
