Senior Systems Engineer - DPS (Data Protection Solutions)

About the Job: As a Senior Systems Engineer on our DPS (Data Protection Solutions) Specialized Presales team, you will provide essential technical support during the sales process to our field sales professionals. Your role is pivotal in leading the development and implementation of complex technical solutions, driving customer success by delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and detailed systems architecture integration plans.

What You’ll Achieve:

• Develop relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
• Strategize and execute technical sales calls to enhance customer engagement.
• Address customer objections to Dell solutions using knowledge of competitive products.
• Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and decisions.
• Deliver impactful presentations to both prospective and existing customers.
• Participate in mentorship and enable junior employees in specialized areas.

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent communication, relationship, and leadership skills.
• Background in storage, data protection/backup, and cybersecurity (in presales or deployment).
• Ability to articulate business value and conduct in-depth technical discussions.
• In-depth understanding of market trends, technologies, and services.
• 8 to 12 years of related experience in a sales role focused on relationships.

Desirable Requirements:

• Advanced experience in consultative and solution selling.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Familiarity with AI/ML/DL, Big Data, Cloud, and Analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
