What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparation of rules and procedures for Operations, CBTC systems, and regulation.
- Requirements management including refinement and traceability.
- Analyze design options and specifications for system performance.
- Development of safety/operational concepts.
- Lead the design review of SCADA and MMIS systems, focusing on operational and maintenance perspectives.
- Review SCADA design submitted by Design & Build Contractors.
- Develop test cases for implementation during the commissioning and acceptance of the SCADA system.
- Review and approve the operational safety case.
- Assess OCC layout according to task analysis requirements.
- Ensure compliance of supplier contracts and specifications with project requirements.
- Review Factory Acceptance Test Procedures and Plans for contract compliance.
- Coordinate with design and build contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with scope.
- Facilitate and participate in the Factory Acceptance Test of the SCADA system.
- Prepare reports, requests for information, and letters to clients for clarifications.
- Utilize EDMS System (Aconex, PCM) for document control and submitting to contractors.
- Assist other Systems Team Members with subsystems interfacing with SCADA.
- Aid in the preparation of the Emergency Response Plan.
- Train Junior Engineers (Saudi Nationals).
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Metro Control Center Operations.
- Extensive experience in Operations and Maintenance.
- Experience as a Systems Engineer on large projects.
- Background in Operation Control Center operations within the Rail/Metro industry.
- Knowledgeable in Rail Systems, ERTMS, Asset Protection, Systems Engineering, Operations development, and SCADA.
- Understanding of maintenance concepts and RAMS requirements.
- Chartered Engineer status.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project experience within the rail/metro industry.
- Familiarity with CBTC, MMIS, SCADA, and Networking Functions.
