We are seeking a Senior Tech Manager Backend (Node.js) who is passionate about innovation and transformation. This critical role involves architecting and leading the development of high-performance backend systems that meet the growing demand for personalized and scalable digital experiences.
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Hybrid)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Architect: Define the technical vision and backend architecture for high-scale digital products.
- Master the Stack: Develop robust services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
- Design Data Ecosystems: Architect complex data models with PostgreSQL and MongoDB; implement advanced GraphQL schemas.
- Champion DevOps: Oversee deployment and orchestration of services using Docker and Kubernetes in AWS.
- Ensure Engineering Excellence: Set testing strategies using Jest; conduct code reviews and technical mentoring.
- Drive Integration: Design complex integrations between backend services, external APIs, and front-end interfaces.
- Collaborate Globally: Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in backend engineering, including managerial or technical lead roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deep experience with NestJS, Express.js, Microservices, and Event-Driven architectural patterns.
- Proficient in relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) and Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of API design using GraphQL and REST.
- Expertise in automated testing frameworks, specifically Jest.
- Experience building real-time systems in high-concurrency environments.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian digital regulations and data sovereignty standards.
