About the Job:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) for its Enterprise Support team. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will join one of the fastest-growing organizations within AWS, playing a vital role in helping customers from various industries maximize their value and service from AWS. This position is not sales-oriented; you will act as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance the adoption and use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, and IoT. Your technical expertise and ability to engage with customers will help you represent AWS effectively, guiding discussions with senior leadership on critical issues including incidents, trade-offs, support options, and risk management.

You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to customers, helping them plan and build solutions that adhere to best practices while ensuring their AWS environments remain operationally healthy. By fostering close relationships with your customers, you will gain insight into their business and technical challenges, allowing you to help them derive maximum value from AWS. This position may require travel of 10% or more.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, operations, or consulting with distributed applications.
  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in operational parameters and troubleshooting within four of the following areas: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security, Architecture, Applications Development in distributed systems.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an internal enterprise environment or customer-facing role as a technical lead.
  • Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and offerings.
