Joining the Customer Success Technical Account Management team gives you the opportunity to bring your authentic self to work while making a significant impact. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you’ll interact daily with assigned customers, managing your own schedule to help them meet their objectives. You will specialize in VMware solutions, developing deep technical knowledge and creating long-term relationships with customers to align their technical goals with their business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a detailed five-week onboarding plan tailored to the TAM role.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise in designated VMware technology areas.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and articulate their long-term and short-term goals while identifying necessary improvements.
  • Provide best practice guidance to promote rapid deployment and adoption of VMware technologies.
  • Educate customers on emerging technologies and align their roadmaps with VMware.
  • Achieve VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification if not already certified.
  • Present customer success achievements utilizing internal tools and facilitation.
  • Lead projects, providing coordination and architectural guidance for major customer initiatives.
  • Advocate for customer needs by communicating constructive feedback to VMware product management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with expertise in at least two of the following technologies:
    • VMware Cloud Foundation
    • vSphere (vCenter and ESXi)
    • NSX-T and Advanced Threat Protection
    • vSAN
    • Aria Suite of Products (Operations, Operations for Logs, Operations for Networks, Automation)
    • Site Recovery Manager
    • vCloud Director (low priority)

Certifications (preferred):

  • VMware Certified Professional in one domain (multiple domains are a plus)
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (any VCAP level certification is a plus)
  • Industry certifications such as PMP, CISA, ITIL, Azure, AWS, GCP, CCNA/CCNP are a plus

Language Requirements:
English language proficiency is required.

This role will enable you to create ‘customers for life’ while collaborating with various teams within VMware to ensure outstanding value is delivered to our customers.
