Senior Technical Architect - Cyber Security

About the Job
Core42 is seeking a Senior Technical Architect specializing in Cyber Security to provide expert guidance on cyber security best practices across its ecosystem. This role involves assessing the security posture of clients' systems and designing and implementing robust security solutions to protect their digital assets' confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Core42 serves as the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, leveraging G42 Group’s expertise to support transformative initiatives in the public sector and large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cyber security solutions for clients in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential weaknesses in clients' systems.
• Develop and maintain security architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
• Formulate a continuous service improvement plan to align tactical and strategic improvements with Core42’s overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate security requirements into the overall system design and development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cyber security team members.
• Stay current with the latest cyber security trends, emerging threats, and technologies, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Assist in incident response activities, including investigating and mitigating security incidents.
• Conduct training and awareness programs to educate clients and employees on cyber security best practices.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience:

• 11+ years of experience in cyber security architecture and engineering, with a focus on cloud-based environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.
• In-depth understanding of network security principles, secure coding practices, and cryptography.
• Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tooling.

Job Specific Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Digital Transformation, Smart Cities/Nations, Cloud, and Cyber Security.
• Experience working in an AI-driven IT company or a digital transformation environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to various stakeholders.
