Senior Technical Artist

About the Job:
Steer Studios, a leading game development studio in Saudi Arabia, is on a mission to create high-quality games for international audiences and foster a thriving gaming sector. As a Senior Technical Artist, you will play a vital role in shaping our products by bringing new projects from concept to playability through an iterative and hands-on process.
You will utilize the best resources and tools to overcome platform limitations, serving as the gatekeeper for tech art constraints while striving for top quality and optimal performance. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a passion for mobile gaming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate 3D assets, VFX, and animations in alignment with the art direction and style for the project.
• Develop solutions for asset integration based on project specifications.
• Debug in-game performance and set up constraints without compromising visual quality.
• Continuously deliver and iterate on our products.
• Collaborate with programming and game design teams to ensure optimal use of resources for mobile games.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Artist or in similar positions.
• Strong understanding of game engines, preferably Unity.
• Knowledge in creating shaders for mobile and implementing 2D and 3D assets in Unity.
• Familiarity with art pipelines and optimization techniques.
• Experience with lighting and rendering.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D tools such as Photoshop, Maya, and Blender.
• Knowledge of VFX creation is a plus.
• Must be autonomous and proactive.
• Ability to communicate and work in English.
