Work Conditions
In this role, you will:
- Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring high quality and adherence to corporate standards.
- Collaborate with other IT Technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of relevant technology, ensuring timely incident resolution.
- Guide project managers/technology team managers for solution definition and technical design.
- Ensure assigned incidents are resolved within agreed service levels and manage technology area changes.
- Publish and maintain high-quality documentation and data catalogs.
- Manage end-of-life replacement of equipment and support technology initiatives.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a related IT Engineering role.
- Expertise in engineering and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performance database platforms.
- Strong understanding of Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) principles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and configuration management practices.
- Ability to lead database automation and optimization initiatives, collaborating with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
