As a Senior Technical Engineer in Public Cloud, you will design, develop, support, and deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for business and IT-led initiatives including solution development, cost estimations, configurations, and deployment. In this role, you will:
- Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance within the technology area and act as the lead technical member in project teams.
- Develop IT Solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring robust design conforming to corporate standards.
- Ensure developed architecture/solutions meet service level requirements such as availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.
- Foster high-performing technical teams to achieve strategic architectural objectives.
- Collaborate with IT Technology teams for ongoing monitoring of relevant technology.
- Manage incidents and ensure solutions meet architectural and security standards, minimizing business impact.
- Publish and maintain high-quality documentation for the technology area.
- Ensure "End-of-life" replacement of equipment/software within the technology area to conform to technical standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology (AWS and Azure Public Cloud Services).
- Experience in GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Cloud domain certification in AWS and/or Azure (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect – Expert).
- Proficiency in managing and operating AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Container Runtimes).
- Automation experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Integration experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
