Our Technical Program Managers are effective communicators, both written and verbally, and lead multi-discipline, highly technical physical infrastructure project teams. They guide internal and external stakeholders through all stages of the Data Center development lifecycle, from initial site due diligence through construction and into operation. The core responsibility of the TIPM is to deliver capacity for our customers by developing delivery programs and collaborating closely with stakeholder teams to identify risks and resolve issues to ensure timely and budget-compliant program delivery.

The TIPM partners with various teams during data center delivery, including Real Estate for site feasibility and selection, Energy for suitable grid connections, Design Engineering for project-specific designs, Procurement for critical equipment delivery, and Construction Management for tracking budget and progress. The TIPM will also work with Operations to ensure successful project handover.

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, enabling continual access to the innovative services we provide. The team comprises diverse roles, including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, all collaborating to achieve the highest standards for safety, security, and customer service.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Break down large, complex projects into manageable pieces.

  • Manage end-to-end program delivery from pre-contract design to final handover to Operations for Colo, Hybrid Colo, and AWS Leased/Owned Data Centers in the EMEA region.
  • Coordinate between internal (Real Estate, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, etc.) and external stakeholders (Contractors, Colo Vendors) to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of Data Center projects.
  • Build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to secure finance for project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Capacity Planning, Energy, and Real Estate teams to develop both short- and long-term build strategies.
  • Support continuous process improvement through workflow updates and knowledge sharing to enhance efficiency across delivery teams.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on the status of key project metrics.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in data center design, construction, and fit-out projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects with multiple stakeholders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
