Position

The Senior Technical Product Manager heads up the Technical and ILS function for the International Business Operations Team. This role involves working across multiple contracts, training end users, setting up in-country operations, and providing hands-on field support and training. Post-deployment, the manager will be responsible for problem solving in remote locations when necessary.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the Program Managers to ensure readiness to deploy equipment and services overseas.
  • Confirm that the company personnel team is suitably trained and qualified to deliver the service to the overseas client.
  • Establish the initial support package for all products, including requirements for spare parts, special tools, and documentation for startup and training.
  • Define the Bill of Material required for a specified initial period overseas to enable a smooth installation and setup.
  • Manage the successful setup of any onsite capabilities and take responsibility for the initial assessment of problem-solving during all in-service incidents.
  • Coordinate with Logistics for any factory return repairs and ensure all contractual commitments are met within budget, quality, and timescales.

Supporting Accountabilities

  • Work closely with other disciplines to define an effective service strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with development and manufacturing teams.
  • Provide inputs to ILS reviews for documentation, training, and spares provisioning.
  • Actively encourage continuous improvement, including software, hardware, documentation, and procedural changes.

Experience & Education Qualifications

  • 15 years of working with C4ISR and military products in the defense industry.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, or a remote location.
  • Military technical background is mandatory.
  • Competency with military hardware (small arms and munitions).
  • Knowledge of the full engineering life cycle.
  • Must have experience training people in remote locations.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and technical installations.
  • Leading teams in austere environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or appropriate military experience.
  • Relevant Project Manager qualification (e.g., Prince 2, APM, or PMI).
