About The Role
The Senior Technical Program Manager supports the Principal Engineer and program leadership in coordinating technical scope, schedule, and risk across a multi-package industrial automation program. The role bridges engineering and program management, ensuring technical milestones are tracked, technical risks are visible, and cross-vendor technical dependencies are managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Principal Engineer in tracking technical scope, deliverables, and dependencies across automation packages
  • Maintain the technical schedule and RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) for engineering deliverables
  • Coordinate technical inputs from multiple vendors and internal engineering leads into a single program view
  • Prepare technical status reports and dashboards for program and client reviews
  • Support planning and tracking of design reviews, FAT, SAT, and other engineering milestones
  • Support change management for technical scope changes, coordinating impact assessment with engineering
  • Act as a coordination point between engineering, procurement, and delivery functions
  • Support development and maintenance of technical documentation and program governance records
  • Coordinate between client stakeholders (engineering, IT, Infrastructure, digital transformation lead) and vendor technical teams
  • Track timely delivery of materials to the shopfloor, from supplier through to the client
  • Follow up on program milestones to ensure delivery on time
  • Support early identification and nomination of technical risks, working with the technical team to define mitigation plans
  • Hold technical meetings with the client engineering team to align on and adopt recommended changes
  • Document and communicate all program assumptions, dependencies, and exclusions throughout delivery

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program or project management within industrial automation, manufacturing, or systems integration environments
  • Implementation of full dark factory or multiple lines automation including painting, assembly, machining, packaging, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering delivery lifecycle (design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning)
  • Experience coordinating multi-vendor technical deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred background: robotics, control systems, mechanics
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with MES / digital manufacturing platforms
  • Experience supporting FAT/SAT coordination on large capital projects.
