You will have a strong understanding of model fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment within secure, compliant environments, along with a solid background in building GenAI-enabled enterprise applications and contributing to AI governance frameworks, particularly in aviation planning and scheduling—airline operations, flight scheduling systems, and associated optimisation algorithms.

In this role you will:
- Collaborate with the team to deliver technical design, development, and deployment of complex solutions within the relevant product, ensuring effective technical design reviews to use the right architecture patterns.
- Drive Engineering practices adoption, implementing development process automation, lean software development, built-in-quality, test-driven development, agile practices, and timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post-mortems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess solution viability, evaluate current problems, future requirements, and existing solutions in medium to large projects, facilitating high-level design, proof-of-concepts, and prototype implementations.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues, while supporting continuous improvement by exploring alternatives and new technologies for architectural review.
- Contribute to sprint/work design and planning by offering subject matter expertise in business domain and relevant technologies, while actively engaging in technology-specific communities of practice.
- Manage and mentor Software Engineers, fostering their skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities, while overseeing their technical deliveries and adherence to standards.
- Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms, tools, and libraries aligned with the approved technology architecture.
- Oversee corrective, adaptive, preventative, and perfective maintenance of products in collaboration with relevant capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree or honours (12 + 3) or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience within Information Technology.
- Certification in Full Stack Development is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Experience of developing advanced/Complex technology Software solutions for large, complex organisations in a multi-functional environment.
- Solid experience in data modelling, systems design, and an expert coder in the dedicated technologies.
- Experience in providing production support using the ITIL framework.
- Deep experience in full-stack development capabilities covering all layers (i.e., UI/Middleware and Databases).
- Expert in Technology technical evaluation, vendor selection, and technology vendor management using data-driven models.
- Implementation of contemporary engineering practices like lean software development, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Establishing and managing technology platforms for DevOps, Code Management, Testing, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment to maintain a robust and reliable code base.
