In this role you will:
- Work with senior technical engineers in the technical design process by contributing to analyzing technical application requirements.
- Convert technical solutions for small to medium-sized initiatives into low-level design and working code.
- Independently write secure and optimized code by implementing company Group approved coding standards.
- Participate in rotational on-call support and actively participate in resolving production issues within SLAs with minimal or no active supervision.
- Ensure re-factoring practices are adequately adopted to minimize code debt.
- Ensure logging and monitoring hooks are implemented in the code development.
- Continuously stay current with relevant technologies and implement learnings to enhance code quality.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Experience of developing advanced/complex technology software solutions for large, complex organizations in a multi-functional environment.
- Experience in providing production support for business solutions using ITIL framework.
- Implementation of contemporary engineering practices like lean software development, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL Development and complex implementations.
- Ability to provide technical assistance, problem-solving, and troubleshooting support.
