An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician – Engineering Department role to join the company. The main purpose for this position is to maintain and repair the existing equipment, as well as perform preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure the operation of equipment without any shutdowns.

Qualifications:
- Essential: High School Diploma
- Desirable: A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or any other relevant field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field within the hospitality industry
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance of equipment where you work
- Order and replace the correct spare parts for equipment
- Complete daily breakdown work orders
- Ensure safe working conditions and report any unsafe conditions to senior staff
- Organize work in a standard and professional manner
- Maintain a safe and tidy work area
- Follow up on critical spare parts for operational requirements
- Maintain high standards of all engineering services required for kitchen and laundry areas
- Attend to guest and inter-departmental complaints as directed
- Monitor the performance of all electro-mechanical equipment within the hotel and respective working areas
- Keep logged records of all equipment as directed
- Conduct daily walkarounds of kitchen and laundry areas to ensure good working conditions and take corrective action as needed
- Ensure all materials needed for jobs are available prior to work commencing
- Maintain engineering areas that are clean, safe, and orderly
- Coordinate closely with other engineering staff for smooth operations
- Familiarize yourself with company Policies and Procedures and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes, and procedures
- Perform other duties that management may reasonably require from time to time.
