The Senior Technician - Video at Encore is responsible for training and supervising Technicians and Crew in the operation of equipment and their tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively as part of a team on and off site.
- Configuring equipment at advanced levels and maintaining an advanced knowledge of all equipment, staying updated with the latest fixtures and technology in the industry.
- Learning new equipment quickly and educating the team on proper operation, hanging, and inspecting procedures.
- Leading by example and ensuring consistent performance at all times while interacting directly with clients in a customer-oriented manner.
- Running shows of all sizes, including operation and site management, and leading a team of Technicians and Crew while on site.
- Managing projects and teams at the department level in the absence of a Project Manager, and assisting Project Managers in planning and specification of equipment.
- Providing support to the Head of Department (HOD) and notifying them of any defective fixtures.
- Cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to jobs, as well as monitoring and addressing equipment issues during shows.
- Identifying and correcting equipment failures per set standards and performing repairs on high-end equipment depending on the severity of the issue.
- Building and installing equipment on site unsupervised according to designated layouts, and setting up and operating systems and equipment.
- Loading and unloading equipment, cleaning it after shows, and storing it properly.
- Rigging and de-rigging all equipment safely, performing annual inventory as per set procedures, and adhering to health and safety regulations by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reporting all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager and following company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
