Position

Emirates NBD is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to lead and drive the engineering function for technologies. This role encompasses overall delivery activities, including design, development, implementation, standardization, automation, and capacity planning. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, particularly in Linux operating systems, and should be adept at navigating multiple disciplines based on project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive projects for standard stack compliance.
  • Automate installation and configuration of standard stack items.
  • Conduct code reviews for peers.
  • Establish and manage a product backlog for bi-weekly sprints.
  • Engage in continuous R&D and vendor interactions.
  • Implement automated installation to achieve zero-touch deployments.
  • Identify processes for automation and enhance operational stability.
  • Address problem tickets, risk, and audit items in the product backlog.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Dell EMC Storage and Backup systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Dell storage products (PowerMAX, Power Store, ECS) and backup solutions (Data Domains, Veritas Cohesity).
  • Familiarity with BROCADE FC Switches.
  • Experience in capacity planning, performance tuning, and data storage solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Understanding of virtualization environments and capable of maintaining storage inventories.
  • Proficient in Windows, Linux, Red Hat, and Unix environments.

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English is required, as it is the primary language used within the organization.
