Senior Telecom Engineer

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Telecom Engineer to manage and supervise the work of client designers and contractors in the telecom design for large infrastructure projects. This role will report to the Electrical Design Manager and involve overseeing the development of wireless and access networks, data centers, backbone cabling, and security systems (including CCTV, access control, public address, fire alarm, and BMS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the delivery of infrastructure electrical systems design.
• Review technical submissions from designers and contractors related to telecom systems.
• Support procurement and technical evaluations.
• Monitor progress and performance of customer designers and contractors.
• Coordinate with Stakeholder Management to ensure necessary permits and approvals.
• Assist Construction & Quality teams during project execution.
• Liaison with customer representatives to deliver systems engineering documentation.
• Conduct audits, reports, and present findings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecom Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical expertise in telecom systems and electrical design.
• Proficient knowledge of local and international electrical codes.
• Experience coordinating with multiple design consultants.
• Familiarity with BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks) is a plus.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred.

Language Requirements:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
