Senior Testing Engineer

About
The Prototype Testing Specialist is responsible for creating and testing prototypes, inspecting initial production pieces, and supporting the development of technical solutions. The ideal candidate has a technical background, proficiency in English, and experience in engineering or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Have knowledge of IEC-61439 & IEC-60529 standards related to switchgear.
• Produce associated documentation with the testing of the panel with detail.
• Use test equipment such as a dielectric tester, multi-meter, IR tester, etc.
• Maintain safe working practices and always adhere to quality control & safety procedures.
• Travel to sites to diagnose and fix issues with panels.
• Build good customer relationships and demonstrate testing in the presence of the end customer.
• Accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and instructions, both written and verbal.
• Carry out testing and inspection on finished switchgear panels in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
• Perform and host Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests in the presence of end customers.
• Adhere to and actively improve quality control processes and test procedures based on feedback to the supervisor.
• Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• University or high school degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the switchgear industry.
• Proficiency in English: Ability to communicate and work in English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office; Oracle experience is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work productively and effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• 6 working days per week.
• Must adhere to health and safety protocols and use necessary protective equipment.
