The Senior Testing Engineer is responsible for creating and testing prototypes, inspecting initial production pieces, and supporting the development of technical solutions. Key responsibilities include knowledge of IEC-61439 and IEC-60529 standards related to switchgear, producing documentation associated with testing panels in detail, and utilizing test equipment such as dielectric testers, multi-meters, and IR testers. The role also involves maintaining safe working practices while adhering to quality control and safety procedures, traveling to sites to diagnose and resolve issues with panels, building good customer relationships, and conducting testing and inspections on finished switchgear panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises. Additional duties include holding Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests in the presence of end customers, providing high levels of customer service to both internal and external customers, and managing organizational, planning, and time management tasks effectively.
