Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst-ISE

As a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will support the overall delivery of the threat intelligence function by providing subject matter expertise, analysis, and guidance to protect BAE Systems against cyber threats. Your primary responsibilities will include capturing and disseminating security information, providing threat intelligence expertise, and engaging with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cyber security threats, analyst toolsets, and activity group tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Act as a subject matter expert for security toolsets, creating bespoke reports for defined groups.
• Conduct formal reviews of activities, processes, products, or services.
• Collect, collate, and examine records for evidence of compliance and abnormal occurrences.
• Support security breaches according to established procedures, recommend required actions, and follow up on implementations.
• Ensure all security administration processes are delivered and that requests relating to the threat intelligence lifecycle are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
• Deliver departmental plans, policies, and processes and seek opportunities for improvement.
• Perform security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis of information systems.
• Investigate suspected attacks and support security incidents.
• Report on system quality, collect metrics, and provide specialist advice to support others.
• Analyze cyber threat data from diverse sources, including open-source information and dark web forums.
• Generate threat intelligence reports assessing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external intelligence-sharing communities to exchange threat information.
• Evaluate and prioritize incoming threat alerts and notifications to determine risk and response strategy.

Reporting Structure:
Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst will be reporting to the Cyber Security Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Education: University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in the IT security field with experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of Cyber Threat Intelligence techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate threat intelligence and identify actionable indicators of compromise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
