Job Description Summary:
As a Senior UI Engineer in the Engineering Team, you will work on our SaaS Cloud-based platform, focusing on developing new functionalities while considering scalability, performance, and system throughput. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will need to articulate customer needs effectively. You will join our international team, mainly based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead performance optimization efforts, including hands-on experience with tuning, debugging, and monitoring UI components.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the front-end interactions with platforms, databases, APIs, caching layers, proxies, and other web services.
- Proficiency in modern ECMAScript (JavaScript/TypeScript), leveraging the latest features for UI development.
- Stay current with emerging UI technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve user experience.
- Optimize front-end performance by minimizing page load times and enhancing rendering efficiency.
- Conduct in-depth analysis prior to development work and propose innovative solutions to improve UI and overall user experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in NextJS, JavaScript, and Databases.
- Excellent knowledge of developing scalable and highly available RESTful APIs using NextJS technologies.
- Experience in the airline industry and agile methodologies.
- Ability to influence multiple teams on technical considerations to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Proficient in writing non-blocking code and advanced techniques like multi-threading.
- Experience with React.js workflows (such as Flux, Redux, ContextAPI) and popular React ecosystem tools.
- Familiarity with unit testing using frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or Jasmine.
- Understanding of linter libraries (TSLINT, Prettier).
- Knowledge of Docker and AWS is a plus.
